When you ask Daniel Grinnan he usually responds “Out here you really can’t specialize in one thing, you have to be diversified.”. Daniel Grinnan has lived in Burlington, CO since 1996. In 2001 he started, and is the owner/operator of Grinnan Construction. Staying true to that rule of being unable to specialize in only one thing, Grinnan Construction has shown it’s diversity by building anything from guzzlers in CRP fields to luxurious homes, and commercial buildings.

Starting Grinnan Construction has allowed Daniel to raise his family traditionally in a great community. Since the beginning he has taken on projects of all shapes and size including agricultural buildings, custom homes, remodels, commercial builds, maintenance, and various other odds and ends. In fact, one of the first jobs he took was helping somebody move. Not every project or job has been glamorous, but Daniel and his team have built a beautiful portfolio of great looking projects portraying expert craftsmanship.

Grinnan Construction is best known for their custom homes and remodels. Over the years they have built many custom homes that are diverse in style and size. Daniel has a talent for listening to his customers and working to accommodate their needs. From the beginning, Grinnan Construction has aspired to not only put homes together that are great looking, but also implement modern non- traditional building practices to improve the longevity and efficiency of our homes. The methods of non-traditional building practices include: Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), Structural Insulated Panel Systems (SIPS), advanced framing technologies, Geo-thermal, and ground breaking waterproofing materials for foundations and walls. Grinnan Construction has always strived to build homes that are beautiful, affordable, and built well enough to last a lifetime and then some.

While sticking to the “can’t specialize in one thing” mentality, Grinnan Construction has pivoted into plenty of projects beyond custom home builds and remodels. In the Grinnan Construction portfolio you will find a good number of agricultural buildings and projects, a large ag lending bank, an Arby’s remodel, a VA Clinic, and much more. The diversity of work is impressive, not only for the projects, but also the customers served. Our clients range from the KCRD (Kit Carson Rural Development), where we built 7 homes for the small town of Kit Carson, CO, to Sacred Heart Academy, a local Catholic School. We have also partnered with many individuals and businesses, as well as non-profits, local, state and federal governments to help bring improvements to our communities to ensure these communities are always moving forward.
